🩸 September is #BloodCancerAwarenessMonth and we would like to use this post to shed light on our long-standing collaboration with the International CML Foundation
🌍 Since 2021, the International CML Foundation and the HARMONY Alliance have been partnering in the framework of a joint research project to investigate clonal hierarchy in CML. This unique, global collaboration has pooled genomic and clinical data from CML patients worldwide. With +1,100 cases already in the HARMONY Platform, this is one of the largest international resources for understanding the genetic landscape of CML.
🔬 Our first analysis:
- Nearly 500 patients treated with frontline imatinib
- Genomic data from 12 centers across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Australia, and North America
- Exploring how genetic changes at diagnosis may influence treatment outcomes
By uniting global expertise and data, this project is paving the way for more personalized treatment strategies in CML and helping ensure research translates into better outcomes for patients worldwide.
