The HARMONY Alliance is using Big Data to develop more personalized treatments for blood cancer patients. This is a team effort involving hospitals, academic institutions, pharmaceutical companies, regulatory agencies, and patient organizations. In 2021, we organized the BigDataForBloodCancer awareness campaign in synchrony with the virtual annual congress of the European Hematology Association (EHA2021). We engaged with clinicians and researchers to explain what Big Data can mean for the daily work of doctors and researchers and for the lives of patients.
