Presenting HARMONY leukemia research project results at ELN

We participated in the 19th Symposium of ELN, European LeukemiaNet, organized in Mannheim, Germany on 9 April 2024.

The objective of the European LeukemiaNet is to integrate the leading leukemia trial groups (CML, AML, ALL, CLL, MDS, CMPD), their interdisciplinary partners (diagnostics, treatment research, registry, guidelines), industry and SMEs across Europe to form a cooperative network for advancements in leukemia-related research and health care and cure. ELN has been a partner of the HARMONY Alliance right from the start.

Many of the European Leukemia Research Groups active in HARMONY Alliance Research Projects were present. In a dedicated HARMONY Alliance session, the following HARMONY Partners presented:

Lars Bullinger, Charite, about Secondary AML projects

Amin Turki, University Hospital Essen, about Dirichlet’s calculations of genetic risk in AML

Jesse Tettero, Amsterdam UMC, about the impact of gender on genetic aberrations and clinical outcomes in AML

Alberto Hernández Sanches, USAL, about machine learning to provide individualized prediction of outcomes after first complete remission in adult AML Patients

Amir Enshaei, Newcastle University, about results from the real-world evaluation of UK high hyper diploidy profile in ALL using the HARMONY data platform

Amin Turki, University Hospital Eassen, about exploring treatment patterns and outcomes in older adult B-ALL

Ali Albeer, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, about the CML Genomics project

Konstanze Döhner, EHA and University Hospital Ulm, about fostering global data sharing in hematology

In the various presentations, the value of the HARMONY BigData Platform and its analytic data services were demonstrated, as well as the HARMONY Data Exploration and Outcome Prediction Tools.
