HARMONY Partner NICE, National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, is presenting a scientific poster at ISPOR Europe 2019. The ISPOR conference is organized from the 2nd until the 6th of November 2019 in Copenhagen, Denmark. ISPOR Europe 2019 expects to welcome approx 5.000 global healthcare leaders to discuss strategic perspectives, scientific validity and to share diverse global experiences.
Making innovative treatments available across the European Union is a complex process due to differing evidence requirements, assessment methods and value judgements by HTA agencies. The HARMONY Alliance is a big data for better outcomes project, funded by the Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI). HARMONY is a public-private partnership with over 90 organisations from 22 European countries with varying expertise in evidence development strategies to support new treatments and indications.
Authors of the scientific poster aim to produce a guide for the evidence required for market access and coverage/ reimbursement ("access evidence") focussing on challenges facing innovative haematological malignancies (HM) drugs and the jurisdictional differences across Europe.

WP6 groups stakeholders into clusters and focusses on identifying and addressing any evidence gaps which might delay decision-making by regulatory agencies, HTA bodies, and payers. Such activities will identify those factors which prevent patient access to innovative treatments for HM. The group’s work, building upon previously gained experience and other EU-funded projects and international initiatives, will lead to consensus-based decisions and facilitate interaction and consultation between all the relevant stakeholders.
