A unified approach to leverage big data for blood cancer research

February 29, 2020 00:00 - x 00, 0 - 00:00

Partnership is at the core of the HARMONY Alliance; every Partner, Associated Member and Patient Organization plays an integral role in achieving our goals of bringing together the hematology community to accelerate the development of new treatments and enable precision medicine.

By contributing data, designing and implementing research projects, and continuously raising awareness of our efforts, these multidisciplinary collaborators are responsible for the considerable success HARMONY has achieved so far. Within just 3 years, 45,000 data sets from patients with blood cancer have been identified and are being transferred to the HARMONY Big Data Platform for further analyses.

HARMONY currently comprises 53 Partners, 41 Associated Members and 7 patient organizations, each of which has contributed significantly to the success of HARMONY in achieving its goals so far. HARMONY brings together stakeholders from a broad spectrum of disciplines; these include academic institutions, national clinical disease networks, patient advocacy groups, hospitals, regulatory agencies, health technology assessment bodies, technology specialists and pharmaceutical companies.
