HARMONY Partner, WP2/WP7 Co-leader Aliki Taylor from Takeda gave a presentation at this meeting on 24th January on “EU Big Data Initiatives”. She introduced the topics of HARMONY to the audience and the Big Data for Better Outcomes (BD4BO) projects. The audience included a wide range of international leaders in healthcare working in big data projects including; R&D Analytics, Informatics, R&D Innovation, External Alliances & Innovation, and R&D Strategy.
The presentation from Aliki Taylor focused on an outline of the BD4BO projects and HARMONY as well as new big data sharing projects on the IMI horizon. There was significant interest in these IMI big data sharing projects and connections were made with experts in a number of different R&D organizations to enable them to connect to relevant IMI projects. These included HARMONY, ROADMAP, Bigdata@heart and a new upcoming IMI project from Call 13 - Topic 7: Linking digital assessment of mobility to clinical endpoints to support regulatory acceptance and clinical practice.

Public-private partnership for Big Data in Hematology
HARMONY and HARMONY PLUS are funded through the Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI), Europe's largest public-private initiative aiming to speed up the development of better and safer medicines for patients. Funding is received from the IMI 2 Joint Undertaking and is listed under grant agreement for HARMONY No. 116026 and grant agreement for HARMONY PLUS No. 945406.
